About the Association/Society
The Journal is sponsored and academically supported by Putuo Hospital, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is renowned for its clinical and research excellence, forging the way to diagnose and treat illnesses and disorders with integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. Even since its foundation in 1957, it has been dedicated to medical service and gradually developed its strengths and specialties. So far, it has established good relationship with some universities and research institutions abroad, like US, Japan, and Germany, etc. Many of its clinical specialties rank among the best in China, including integrative TCM and Western medicine clinics on nephrology and andrology.
The Journal is also academically supported by Shanghai Association of Chinese Integrative Medicine, which is a non-profit organization founded in September 1981. It is the member of Shanghai Association for Science & Technology and member unit of China Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. Now, it has more than 7100 members and 53 specialized committees covering internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and pediatrics, etc.
About the Journal
Journal of Integrative Nephrology and Andrology, a publication of Shanghai Putuo Central Hospital, is a peer-reviewed online journal with quarterly print on demand compilation of issues published. The journal promotes basic research, clinical practice through education and dissemination of knowledge in the field of nephrology and andrology in the specialties of integrative medicine and the allied interdisciplinary subjects. The Journal encourages to bring together academicians and clinicians to be a part of this initiative by contributing, reviewing and thus promoting scientific works and science. The journal’s full text is available online at http://www.journal-ina.com. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The journal does not charge for submission, processing or publication of manuscripts and even for color reproduction of photographs.

This is an open access journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.
Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.
Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.
CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.
Ahead of Print policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:
- "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
- The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
- Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.
The journal covers the basic and clinical studies related to health, ethical and social issues in field of integrative nephrology and andrology, including nephrology, andrology, urology, pathology, physiology as well as TCM. It aims to rapidly report the new progress, new insights, and research achievements on integrative nephrology and andrology, and those related to these field. It will provide a high-level platform for academic communication of teachers, workers and researchers as well as students dedicated in the related fields. The Journal welcome submissions various kinds such as Editorial, Original Article (Basic and Clinical), Evidence based/Systematic reviews articles, Mini-reviews, New Techniques, Case Reports (with discussion), Rapid Communications, Letter to the Editor, Commentaries, Special Focus, etc. Articles with integrative medicine will be specially preferred.
